GEDCOM TestBook Project
The GEDCOM TestBook project is a joint effort of GENTECH and the Family History Department (FHD) of the LDS to assess the current state of GEDCOM transfers.  The information from a specific “test story” is entered into popular genealogical software.  Then a GEDCOM file is transferred to other program, and the results are reported for each particular fact.  Developers send software to GENTECH, then the FHD does the data entry, and GENTECH posts the results on their web site.  Here’s an opportunity for you to see what your software is capable of sending and receiving, and what information might never make it from your computer to your cousin’s.
